Heavy Duty Absorbent Oil Belly
The ACF Absorbent Oil Belly is an oil absorbent boom for use in shoreline protection and oil spill clean up. The standard boom is 6 inches in diameter by 15 feet in length with other diameters and lengths available. The oil spill containment boom includes handles and straps that make the boom easy to pick-up and place; as well as allowing attachment to adjacent booms.

The jacket is made from an oil-absorbent, needle-punched, nonwoven polypropylene geotextile. The jacket allows water/oil mixtures to flow freely into the boom. The needle-punched, nonwoven material provides a high dimensional stability for the product. The high tensile strength of the geotextile keeps the boom from being damaged under normal use.
The jacket is filled with a patented, natural fiber absorbent material. The fill is 100% non-toxic. The straw/cellulose material will absorb over 12 gal of oil per 15 foot boom. Once absorbed, the fill retains the oil allowing for removal and disposal.
