Stormwater Management: R-Dome Stormwater Detention

The R-Dome Stormwater detention system is part of a new age of stormwater storage technology. The chambers are three dimensional and are “nested” together when installed, to create the most efficient layout possible with a stone-based system. An alternate to stormwater ponds, arched chambers, and pipe & stone systems, the R-Dome has been tested to meet up to HS-25 loadings and includes 10% fiberglass to reinforce the system. The R-Dome can handle up to 12' of cover, and as little as 12" cover over the units. The R-Dome eliminates the need for an exterior manifold through the use of internal cross-connectors, which significantly reduces overall system costs.
